The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the opportunity to create and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed location or at a periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that additional personnel are not needed on site.
You give your teams the chance to identify themselves to 100% around the clock with their own employee photo.
The staff photos can be automatically optimized to the right format, removed from annoying elements in the background and optionally saved in different dimensions and aspect ratios.
Our proposed solution
You place a photo box optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the cafeteria, at the ID office or at the entrance in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary steps on the display, just like with the passport photo machine.
The monitor serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the required information such as B. Personnel number, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up so that the data can be read directly from the employee ID card. The employee data recorded in this way then subsequently becomes part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a data protection screen can also be displayed with a release option for internal / external use of the image.
After the employee portrait has been photographed, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or different backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is determined, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a specified position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the photographed image and the internal employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to help your IT department clarify the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional expansion stage.
The image output can take place in different sizes at the same time.

How does the employee get his photo?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new pictures, there are three different ways for the employee to get his picture as a file.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the employee can use to load his original recording and the various formats for the various target systems. - Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides its own WLAN, which the employee must dial into.
At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to an offline gallery from which employees can download their pictures. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
In this case, the captured photo is immediately sent to the employee's email address.
Additional uses
