The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company have the option of creating and/or updating the individual employee photo at a fixed location or at a rotating location (e.g. in the casino or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional personnel on site.
You give your staff the opportunity to fully identify themselves around the clock with their individual employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cut to the best format, irritating elements are removed from the background and, if desired, saved in various dimensions and aspect ratios.
The solution
You can place a photo booth optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the entrance in a relaxed corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo box and read the instructions for the necessary actions on the touchscreen, similar to a passport photo machine.
The screen serves as a touchscreen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as B. ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read in immediately from the company ID card. The information recorded in this way is then part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a privacy screen can also be set up with a checkbox for internal/external use of the image.
After the employee picture has been taken, the background of the recording can be automatically replaced with one or different backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is determined, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a specified position on the final image.
The recording is saved in a size and format you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison between the stored image and the internal employee data record takes place via the name of the file. We would be happy to help your IT department specify the connection.
As an extra option, a biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available.
The image output can take place simultaneously in many dimensions.

How does the employee get the picture?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory gets the benefit of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to choose from to receive his photo as a file.
- Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photobox provides its own WLAN which the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery where employees can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Entry of the email address at the end of the photo sequence.

At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed on the touchscreen or printed out, which the employee can use to download his original photo and the different sizes for the different target systems.
