The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company are given the opportunity to photograph and/or update their personal employee photo at a fixed or periodically changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or human resources department).
It is essential that this is the case in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional staff on site.
This gives your staff the option to fully identify themselves at any time with their own employee photo.
The personal photos are automatically cut to the optimal format, removed from disturbing elements in the background and saved in different dimensions and aspect ratios if desired.
A suggested solution
You position a photo box optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is around 1.5mx 1m.
There, the employees can sit in front of the photo box in a similar way to the passport photo machine and see the instructions for the necessary steps on the display.
The screen serves as a touch screen in parallel as an input terminal for the required information such as e.g. B. Employee ID, first name, last name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed in such a way that the data is read out immediately from the company ID card. The employee data recorded in this way is then a component of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen can also be set up with a release option for internal / external use of the photo.
After photographing the employee portrait, the background of the image can be automatically replaced with one or various backgrounds specified by you. The head of each photo is also analyzed, scaled to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The image is saved in a size and format specified by you (eg square for the Active Directory). The name of the picture is used to compare the picture taken with the in-house employee data record. We would be happy to help your IT department determine the interface.
A biometric check and an adaptation to a biometric ID photo are available as an additional expansion stage.
The image can be output in different forms at the same time.

How does the employee get the picture?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory can benefit from the new recordings, there are three different ways for the employee to choose to receive their picture as a file.

In this case, the photo taken is immediately sent to the employee's mailbox.
- Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides a private WLAN that the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code will appear on the screen. That QR code leads to an offline gallery where the employee can copy their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.

At the end of the sequence, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to load his or her original photo and the various sizes for the various target systems.
