The use of a photo box for employee photos
The employees in your company get the opportunity to create and/or update their own employee photo at a fixed or regularly changing location (e.g. in the casino or the company canteen or human resources department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that extra staff is not needed on the spot.
You give your workforce the option to always fully identify themselves with their individual employee photo.
The personal photos can be automatically cut to the optimal format, freed from annoying elements in the background and saved in different dimensions and aspect ratios if desired.
You place a photo booth optimized for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the Katine, at the ID or at the reception in a quiet corner.
The space requirement is approx. 1.5m x 1m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photo box and see the operating instructions for the necessary actions on the touchscreen.
The monitor serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as B. Personnel number, first name, family name and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be set up in such a way that the data can be read directly from the company ID card. The information collected in this way then becomes an element of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a release option for internal/external use of the photo can also be set up.
After the employee portrait has been taken, the background of the recording can be automatically exchanged for one or several backgrounds specified by you. The head is also determined for each photo, adjusted to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the saved portrait and the internal employee data record via the name of the file. We would be happy to support your IT department in clarifying the interface.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional extension.
The image output can take place in different forms at the same time.

Of course, each file can also be “branded” with logos and/or the employee's name and position will also be visible on the image.

How does the employee get his picture?
So that not only the CRM system or the Active Directory comes into possession of the new photos, there are three different ways for the employee to choose to get his photo digitally.
- Entry of the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is immediately sent to the employee's e-mail address.
- Download from an online gallery
At the end of the photo sequence, a code is displayed on the screen or printed out, which the employee can use to copy his original photo and the different sizes for the various target systems.
- Download via QR code from an offline gallery
The photo box provides a private WLAN that the employee has to dial into.
At the end of the photo sequence, a QR code is displayed on the touchscreen. The QR code leads to an offline gallery where employees can download their recordings. In contrast to the online gallery, this way only works in the immediate vicinity of the photo box.
Other deployment options
In order to take full advantage of the purchase, you have the following possible uses:

The need for investment
The cost of purchasing a photobooth optimized in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and pays off for companies with around 100 employees or more.
Of course, there is also the chance to test the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the photo box is purchased immediately.
