What should be achieved?
The employees in your company have the option of creating and/or updating their own employee photo at a fixed location or at locations that change on a regular basis (e.g. in the casino or company canteen or HR department).
It is important that this takes place in the form of a self-service process and that you do not need additional employees on site.
You give your teams the chance to identify themselves to 100% at any time with their personal employee photo.
The personal photos can be automatically adapted to the optimal format, removed from disturbing elements in the background and optionally saved in several dimensions and aspect ratios.
One possible solution
You place a photo box perfect for employee photos in your company (e.g. in the human resources department, at the ID office or at the entrance in a relaxed corner.
The space required is approx. 1.5 mx 1 m.
There, the employees can stand in front of the photobooth in the same way as with the passport photo machine and see the operating instructions for the necessary steps on the monitor.
The screen serves as a touch screen at the same time as an input terminal for the necessary information such as e.g. B. Employee ID, name, surname and/or date of birth.
Alternatively, the photo box can also be programmed so that the data can be read directly from the employee ID card. The information recorded in this way will later become part of the file name of the employee photo taken.
Optionally, a disclaimer screen with a checkbox for internal / external use of the image can also be displayed.
After the photograph of the employee picture has been taken, the background of the picture can be automatically exchanged for one or various backgrounds specified by you. Likewise, the head of each photo is analyzed, scaled to a specified size and placed in a defined position on the final image.
The photo is saved in a size and aspect ratio that you specify (eg square for Active Directory). A comparison is made between the stored portrait and the internal employee data record via the name of the picture. We would be happy to help your IT department define the connection.
A biometric check and a cut to a biometric ID photo are available as an optional expansion stage.
The image output can take place in various formats at the same time.

Of course, each file can also be "personalized" with company logos and/or the name and position of the employee can be directly visible on the image.

How does the employee get his picture?
So that the CRM system or Active Directory alone does not get hold of the new images, there are three different ways for employees to receive their image as a file.
- Download from an offline gallery via QR code
The photo box provides its own WLAN, which the employee must dial into.
At the end of the sequence, a QR code is displayed on the screen. This QR code leads to the offline gallery from which employees can download their photos. In contrast to the online gallery, this path is only possible in the immediate vicinity of the photo box. - Enter the email address at the end of the photo sequence.
The photo taken is then sent to the employee's email address. - Download from an online gallery
At the end of the recording, a code is displayed or printed on the touchscreen, which the employee can use to download the original recording and the different versions for the different target systems.

The cost frame
The investment for the purchase of a photo box adapted in this way starts at around €4,400 plus VAT and is therefore worthwhile for companies with around 100 employees or more.
It goes without saying that there is also the option of trying out the system in advance on a rental basis for € 650 + € 1 / employee photo plus VAT per week.
1/2 of the rent will be credited to the subsequent purchase if the photo box is purchased immediately.
Customer ratings
Since the system was introduced in 2019, two systems have been permanently installed in Germany and Zurich.
